David Tunney covers a great many miles in his 75th Anniversary Limited Edition MGF. He travels extensively on business in Europe and he bought the car in Belgium from a Rover dealer at the usual advantageous price. David wanted a lot from his car, he is also a keen Jaguar fan and therefore he expects very high standards in terms of ride and comfort combined with sharp performance and handling, in these respects his MGF has proved to be most satisfactory. David is particularly pleased with the specification and higher trim level of his Anniversary model F, the leather seats and walnut dash panels adding an additional air of luxury to the MGF’s interior.

As well as the trim and the distinctive paintwork the 75th Anniversary models all had special badges. Each 75th MGF was also given an individual model number which is displayed on a plaque mounted between the seats. Whilst in England David could not resist a trip to the MGOC HQ at Swavesey where he told us about his car and stressed its reliability in service.

The only problem that David has suffered with the car was on the previous day when he inadvertently locked the ignition keys in the boot. Fortunately his MGF was covered by European Rover Assistance and an engineer arrived promptly and was able to overcome the problem without causing any damage to the lock, the boot lid or the surrounding panels. Consequently David had nothing but praise for this service and the efficient way in which he was re-united with his keys.

Having read the various complaints and moans in the press about the F, David was keen to stress that his MG was perfect everyday transport and had proved to be utterly reliable. David would recommend the MGF to anyone who has long distances to cover but who also wants a car that is a pleasure to drive and fun to own. David says that ‘All in all, the MGF is a brilliant modern sports car’.
