LOST MG MIDGET 1275, ORB 399K, Registered 1.08.71 Red - I am interested to know what happened to this car (According to the DVLA it is still red and has a current tax liability) I was its second owner in 1972 and it was the car I owned when I met my wife. It, unfortunately, was sold in 1973 to get married. It was my first MG (and favourite over the later 76 1500 Midget and 79 MGB we owned ) but we do enjoy our present 02 MGTF. I would be interested in knowing what happened to the car in its later life, and I would really appreciate the current owner contacting me. I do still have some photographs of the car taken in 1973.  MG MIDGET - Reg: AVM 229M - I owned this car in the 70s and I am interested in knowing its current location. The car was originally "black tulip" but according to the DVLA it is now green. Also the car appears to be off the road on a SORN. There is one identifying feature in that when assembled the production line ran out of "D" so the cill label on one side says "MIGGET". Last heard of in Manchester when I traded it in for a Fiat 126 !!!!!!. Any information on this car would be appreciated. Please contact Peter Chappell at peterchappell@btinternet.com peterchappell@btinternet.com
MG MIDGET - Reg: GAA 286 D - I owned this Midget from 1986 to 1993 when I had to sell it to fund a house purchase. I asked the seller for 1st refusal when he sold it but I believe he still owns it. It was a 1098cc when I got it and a total rust bucket, it ended up 1275cc with chrome knock on wires and pretty good bodywork....would like to remind the owner that after 16 years I would still like 1st refusal should he wish to sell it.  MG MIDGET 1964, Reg: TVV 39 - - I am trying to contact the previous owners of my 1964 Mk2 MG Midget and find out more about its history. I am only the third owner from new. It was bought and registered new in the Northampton area, where it stayed until mid to late 1999, when it's second owner sold it to a classic car dealer in Birmingham, from whom a bought it in spring 2000. The car is a very distinctive colour, called 'Riviera Blue' (its original colour), as well as having an unusual registration number, and does seem to attract a quite a lot of attention. If anyone knows more about the history of this car from
1964 to 1999, please contact me by email at ar_jones@yahoo.com ar_jones@yahoo.com

MG MIDGET Reg: DBT327L - I am trying to trace the history of my MG Midget. The car was registered in August 1972, and was originally blue, I believe. I acquired the vehicle from it's previous owner in the Burton Upon Stather area of Scunthorpe who bought it in September 2000. The car is now British Racing Green, and I think it has been this colour since it was given a makeover in the late 1990's, according to some old invoices I have. It has had 8 previous keepers, and I would love to build up some history around the car. Please drop me an e mail at robertmepham@yahoo.co.uk if you can help at all! Many thanks.

MG TA
1939 MG TA - Reg FOE100 - Hi, in 1969 whilst a student at Glasgow Uni I bought the dismantled remains of a 1939 MGTA, reg FOE 100. I rebuilt it over 4 years and ran it for a further 4 years - for much of that time it was my only transport. I sold it to a pal who had much more work done and then he sold it on in the late 1970s/early1980s to a chap, I believe from Hong Kong. I loved that car and would dearly like to know how she is now. I think the number was sold in the late 1990s (I think its now on a Mercedes, oh dear....the shame of it). I couldn't begin to afford to buy her back now, but a photo would be nice.  Seeking History of MG TA Reg. No. CYY 800 - Does anyone have any information on the above car? The car was bought by my father, George Milson, in 1940 from Bill Maidens Garage in Sleaford Lincolnshire. It was used by him during his time in 18 Squadron RAF until 1941 when he was posted overseas. At the end of the war (having spent three & a half years as a Japanese Prisoner of War) he returned to Lincolnshire and was reunited with the car. It was sold by him in the early 1950's. lizmcelwee@hotmail.com

MG TC /TD
MG TC / TD BELIEVED TO BE FROM LIVERPOOL IN THE HUNTS CROSS AREA CIRCA 1950. - Does the original full size car still exist? I am a keen collector of British model tether cars 1930-late 50's, rather than waffle on here for ages go to http://www.onthewire.co.uk for background on tether cars.
The car I have recently purchased is a lovely period model in unrestored condition of a TD or TC model sports car in black with red leather interior, the model has a functional soft top even down to the stitched in celluloid rear screen, overall the car is 45 cm in length and powered by a 1.5cc Mills diesel engine via centrifugal clutch to bevel drive at the rear axle. The model would have been capable of a top speed 25-30 mph. Someone spent a lot of time and effort in the construction of this car all hand built from scratch excluding the engine, wheels, tyres, gears. This was not made from a kit so I assume there is a chance the builder owned a full size car at the same time, the name Hancox may or may not be in any registration documents. In short a plea for all owners to check their old logbooks to see if there car could be a possible link. I can be contacted at gary2car@aol.com or Gary on 01635 200460 and can send photos if required.
Two other MG models have also surfaced recently both Goldie Gardner's MG 135 record car, one has a full history and provenance (it is actually signed by him) the other of unknown origin, again details can be found on these cars at http://www.onthewire.co.uk

MGB BASED NG TA
LOST KIT CAR MGB BASED NG TA - Reg: KUJ 514F - Please would anyone have any details regarding an NG TA registered KUJ 514F that my brother and I built in the early 1980's and then sold to buy sensible cars? We can now afford to run it again but it does not seem to have been registered for ages. A suitable finders fee will be available (several beers) or any info on any clues would be very gratefully received. We seem to remember that a motorcycle policeman from Devon or Cornwall might have bought it from us. I would be grateful to receive any news via my email. MGB GT
1971 MGB GT - Reg: WSC 181K - My GT will soon be 38 years old, half of which has been spent in my garage. Restoration started in 1990 but on & off for the following seven years, I then mothballed it in 1997 because I bought a 1977 Midget. I have retrieved it from the back of my garage a few weeks ago and am now furiously going at it again to get it ready for spraying in a few months time. Am now wondering about its previous owners and its past history. The previous owner lived in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear. If anyone has any info on its past please get in touch. email: mgunited@aol.com mgunited@aol.com

I am trying to piece together the history of the car, including details of previous owners. Out of the factory it was sent to W. Watson & Co Limited, Car Dealer, in Oldham Street, Liverpool, but was registered in Shropshire, so an indication that the first owner may have come from that area - was that you or someone you know ? I have been able to trace the owners from 1983 to present. I am interested in finding out details of its earlier history (1965 - 1983). If you can help then please contact Stuart at email: mgguy62@hotmail.com Thanks. mgguy62@hotmail.com

TC reg: EJW 103 - I would love to be able to trace my Dad's old TC reg: EJW 103. I have many happy memories of this car and still have quite a few photo's. My Dad will be 80 this year and I would love to be able take him to see it again as a birthday treat. He had to sell it just after my brother was born (I used to sit in the passenger footwell when Mom was in the car) and there just wasn't room for all of us.
