MG LOWER RHINE TOUR ARNHEM AND KLEVE. This tour takes us to the historical towns of Arnhem and Kleve. Arnhem became a focus for "Operation Market Garden" in World War II made famous by the film a "A Bridge Too Far". Kleve (also spelt Cleve), just South of Arnhem, is surrounded by the Reichswald forest and will be our base for the tour. JERSEY MG RALLY 2010. Friday evening is the drinks reception where everyone meets up with new friends and old. There is a presentation of anniversary trophies to any visitor who participated on 5; 10; 15 or 20 consecutive years. Saturday concours is a good old fashioned event where cars are judged by a panel of judges. Here there is a chance to win one of the very prestigious trophies on offer. The evening sees the really popular themed fancy dress party (this year it is TV adverts). There is also a prize for the most original costume. Sunday is burning rubber on the driving skill course then off to another venue for the presentation of trophies after a Jersey cream tea. Monday there will be an organised Island drive – a chance to see parts of the Island that would usually be difficult to find. Jersey is tailor made for MG driving. ABINGDON AIR AND COUNTRY SHOW. The Heritage Run is an extremely popular event attracting between 120- 200 MG cars. The Run has always finished somewhere different each year with the final destination being selected for its historical or transport related interest. This year, after meandering through some of the little known highways and byways of Worcestershire and Oxfordshire, we are guests of the Abingdon Works Centre of the MG Car Club at the Abingdon Air and Country Show. MID WALES MGOC 2ND DRAGON RUN. Entrants to the highly successful 2009 event sampled a 100 mile run through some stunning Welsh countryside and the 2010 run promises even better views - mountains, streams, rivers and lakes will all be there to see (and probably a few sheep). This Dragon Run will be limited to approximately 85 cars – so book now to avoid disappointment. The run will be 80 to 90 miles long using all types of roads, except motorways and dual carriages. In Wales even A roads pass through breathtaking scenery. There will be stopping places to take advantage of the best vistas and the lunch stop will, it is claimed, provide something for everyone. The club is compiling a list of B&Bs and hotels for those wishing to stay in the area and there will be a pre-run get-together or dinner on Saturday 15th May. REVVING UP FOR CHARITY. The Rotary Club of Crewe and Nantwich Weaver will once again promote their Weaver Wander Charity Classic and Sport Car Event on Saturday 22nd May 2010.
This year’s event is being sponsored by Car Transplants Ltd.
After assembly at The Legends Club, Bentley Motors, classic and sports cars of all ages will start their leisurely 100 mile navigation run through Cheshire, North Wales and Shropshire in the Square, Nantwich from 10 a.m.
There will also be a static display of vehicles on Barony Park in Nantwich from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The day will be rounded off by a parade of vehicles around Nantwich from 5 p.m.

RAISING THE ROOF RALLY. Woodford Halse Village Fete featuring the inaugural classic vehicle gathering, called the Raising the Roof Rally. The fete is a highly popular and successful traditional village affair with live music, food, a licensed bar and a wide range of attractions for all ages. This is a charitable event, with all proceeds going to the upkeep of the parish church, St. Mary the Virgin.

A run of about 90 to 100 miles finishing at the Trolleybus Museum. Sandtoft. Starts at Wrawby Mill at 09:00 then follow the instructions or find your own way around. LLANDUDNO MGOC SNOWDON CHARITY RUN. There will be a pre-Run get-together at the The Lilly, Hotel/Restaurant West Shore, Llandudno on Saturday evening (14th) where Run participants are invited to meet members of the Llandudno MGOC for drinks. Anyone wishing to eat at the Hotel can make bookings on 01492 876513 (Bar-meals, Restaurant or Reservations). On Sunday the Run will start with a line-up on Llandudno Promenade overlooking the bay. Enrolment will be in a hotel on Llandudno Promenade where complementary coffee/tea and biscuits will be available. There will be a Run of approx. 95 miles taking in many parts of beautiful North Wales and this year will include parts of Anglesey where the Coffee stop is to take place. The Run will finish in Betws-Y-Coed, which is North Wales' most popular inland resort. It is where the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno. Much of it was built in Victorian times and it is the principal village of the Snowdonia National Park.
The entry fee is £20 per car and will include:
- Free Tea/Coffee and Biscuits at registration
- A comprehensive Route Book.
- Free entry to the raffle with many prizes.
- A Rally Plaque.
- Finishing memento gift. (one per car)
- Participation and Completion Certificate.

In 2010 this popular run will take place on September 5th and will take in the beautiful and interesting local countryside of Staffordshire and Cheshire for approximately 75 miles, (this year, it is again a new route) as for your final destination, turn up on the morning and find out.
