A gloomy weather forecast did not deter the Autumn Gold Runners as they turned out in their immaculate MGs, many with hoods folded down on a rather unpromising September Sunday morning. The Run began with a guided tour of the MGOC HQ and several parties took the opportunity to see the club office, the huge spares warehouse and the modern MGOC workshop.

Despite the gloom the rain held off and everyone was able to then make their way through Cambridge and Bedfordshire to Stondon Motor Museum. The Motor Museum is very small and friendly while their car collection is large, which means the exhibits are tightly packed but there are some very rare and interesting vehicles tucked away inside. The museum site also houses a full size replica of Captain Cook’s sailing ship the Endeavour, which dominates the car park.
